# ChatKit

> ChatKit is an AI support agent and live chat inbox for small business websites. Paste a URL and it learns the site in about a minute, answers visitors 24/7 with cited sources, says "I don't know" instead of guessing (strict mode), and hands tricky chats to a human in a shared inbox. Pricing is per conversation with a hard cap — no credits, no surprise bills.

Key facts:
- Answers only from the customer's own content (website, PDFs, docs, Q&A) and cites the pages it used.
- Shared inbox with human takeover, AI handoff summaries, an AI copilot for replies, and teammate assignment.
- Visitors can send screenshots and photos; the AI can see them and they appear in the inbox. Installable inbox with push alerts on phone or desktop.
- Actions: Shopify order tracking and product search, WooCommerce order lookup, Calendly/Cal.com booking, Stripe subscription lookup, Slack alerts, custom HTTP actions. Webhooks for conversation and lead events (optional HMAC signing, retries).
- Replies in 95+ languages; widget interface in 12. Proactive messages per page, rules (when → then), business hours, topics & sentiment analytics, knowledge-gap reports, an optional public help page per agent.
